So funny story... Jaxon watched me paint my toes and thought it was just something else that they were painted. He would follow me around just looking at my toes. I put on some socks and Jaxon freaked out and just kept pulling off my socks. It was the funniest thing. Well the next day we went to the in-laws and I was telling Tara about my toes. Well needless to say Tara was playing with Jaxon and those two disappeared. Later they came down and Jaxon had his toes painted. He was so funny about it. He kept looking at his toes. Silly little boy...

Jaxon loves to play with his bat and ball. We had a little t-ball set but we thought he needed a big boy one. He loves to hit the ball. Jaxon is use to just using one hand when swinging the bat but with this t-ball set he has to use both hands. So he is learning but loving it.

Jaxon was so cute. He didn't want to get in the stroller. He wanted to hold Grandpa's hand.

So Jaxon has an obsession with vacuums, and kitchen appliances. We were in Wal-Mart and passed the vacuum isle and had to stop to look at them. He was in heaven. So many of them. Jaxon's favorite saying now is "un that" meaning he wants that. He is so funny.

Jaxon seemed to enjoy himself. He wasn't quite sure of it when he walked out in it. Chad had to go rescue him.

Jaxon and Uncle Chris got their haircut today. Jaxon looks so handsome and looks like such a big boy. I just love it. He is turning into a toddler. Where did the time go? He did so well getting it cut and the girl who cut it was great and fast. We appreciated that.

Cedar City

There has been a lot of changes with us. One... Chad started back school to get his masters in accounting. He is going to SUU. Two... we moved to Cedar City two weeks ago. Three... I started a new job working at Zions Bank full time. So there has been a lot of changes for us and a lot of adjustments to get use to. So far the only negative is that we get snow. he he he That is big for me to get use to. I'm use to the cold but not snow. Jaxon has adjusted real well though. I don't think he even noticed the change. Which is awesome. He is such a good boy but yet wild too. :) He is a very active boy. He definitely keeps us going. Jaxon is learning fast and talking more and more every day. We love him...

Jaxon is growing fast. We can't keep up with him. He is 25.5 pounds and grew couple inches. He is in the 50 percentile on weight and heighth. He is starting to say a few more words but still just giberish most of the time. He does sign to us milk, please and more. He is a very active boy. Always running full speed and loud. He loves going to the babysitters during the day and play with the other kids his age. It's always a struggle to get him to want to come home with us. Which makes me happy that he really enjoys it there. I love our sitter/daycare. She is great with him and the others. We are lucky we found her. Jaxon is a picky eater. Not so good... He takes after his momma, oops.

Chad will be returning back to school starting January to get his masters in accounting. We are looking forward to this new adventure. Chad is exciting to get back into school. Unlike some of us he really enjoys it. :) lol Jaxon is a daddy's boy. He loves his daddy. Chad is real good with Jaxon and has a lot of patience. I'm still working on that one.

Hopefully this coming up new year we can plan on making some good goals and sticking with them.

So Jaxon really loves crocs. My sister sent me these crocs that were my nephews. These crocs are really small. They are size 3-6 months and Jaxon wears a size 5. Jaxon will pull these crocs out and want them on his feet. So we put them on and he walks around in them. It is the funniest thing. It is like he is wearing high hills. So funny.... We went to the store and found him some crocs his size thinking that would do the trick. He does love his new crocs but... if he sees the small ones he wants the new ones off his feet and the small ones on. Watching him walk in them is the funniest thing. Me and Chad just can't help but laugh.

Carving Pumpkins

We decided today that we would carve our pumpkins. Jaxon did not know what to think about it. We stuck his hand in the pumpkin and he did not like that at all. But once we gave him the scraper he was happy. He would stick it in the pumpkin but that was about it. I put my hand in, grabbed some seeds out and put them on his table. He didn't like that. So he decided to put the seeds back in the pumpkin. Silly boy!

Jaxon loves his new table. Thanks Uncle Chris!

So Jaxon loves to walk around with this computer mouse. He puts it up to his ear and says "HI" He will walk around the house with it. Everytime you say hi he will put it up to his ear and say it back or put his hand to his ear or grab whatever is there. So cute...

Jaxon always makes the funniest faces. I think in this one he shoved a lot of treats in his mouth and he thought it was funny.

Uncle Chris bought him his own little table and he loves it. He loves now to grab his books and put them on the table. Although they don't last for long on there. Jaxon loves to clear the table real quick. It is like he purposely puts stuff on the table then he yells and knocks it on the floor. He is very destructive :)

Miss Amy who watches Jaxon in the morning says that they will build blocks up and Jaxon is like the dinosaur that comes in screaming "ahahhahahh" and knocks the blocks down. He gets such a kick out of it. The kids just laugh at him because he loves to make a mess.

Jaxon loves his blanket and his boppy. You just have to tell him go lay down and he grabs his blanket and goes straight to the boppy. He loves to sleep on his tummy with his butt in the air.

Going crazy at Grandma Shipps house. He just woke up from a nap and was going crazy.

Uncle Chris and Uncle Brock were playing ping pong and everytime they would hit it hard at each other Jaxon would laugh so hard. He thought it was the funniest thing to hit each other with the ball.

Mayor's Walk Oct 2

On October 2, In St. George there is always the Mayors walk and the marathon that goes on. Me and Chad have been doing it for a couple of years now. I've have been doing it since I moved here in 06. Jaxon had fun. After the walk we had breakfast and waited for the marathon runners to finish. Jaxon loved it because everytime we would see a runner everyone would clap. He loves to clap!

Jaxon is so funny now at the pool. He is scared of nothing. He just walks

right off the edge and into the water. Silly boy, so we are always having to watch

him because he sure doesn't watch where he is going. While we were at the

pool he got in his stroller and was hitting it wanting some treats.

I guess he worked up an appetite jumping in the pool and out over and over.

We walk to the park all the time. He loves to go on walks especially

to the park. At the park there is a splash pad that shoots out water.

Jaxon really loves it and he gets daring and runs through it sometimes.

Hiking in Zion

We hiked up to Emerald Pools and let Jaxon walk

We went hiking with a couple of friends, Jordan and

Katie Mathis and their daughter Loryn. She is

Little man didn't quite make the full hike. On our

way back, he was out.

Even when Chad took the backpack off, he didn't

budge one bit. He slept in the pack for like an hour.

We tried to move him so his neck would more

comfortable but that is how he wanted to lay.

Kory and Cynthia's wedding August 14

Kory and Cynthia got married in Beaver. It was beautiful.

The property was amazing. There were ponds, beautiful log

cabin, tree house, green trees, grass, and so much more.

It was amazing! Cynthia looked so amazing. We

are so happy for those two.

Jaxon loves being around his Uncle Brock. Brock took him

in the tree house. Jaxon thought it was so cool.

They even had a zip line over one of the ponds.

Jaxon got some birthday presents from Grandma Shipp. He loves them all.

Especially Hokey Pokey Elmo. At first he was scared of it moving around. Now he

wants you to dance with him all the time.

I was just playing around with Jaxon and put his hair up in rubberbands.

He thought it was funny. His hair is getting thicker and growing so fast.

He was just laughing... It is so fun to watch him just giggle.

Falling down the stairs...

So me and Jaxon went up stairs to change his clothes and diaper. We have a baby gate down stairs so he won't go up but we didn't have one for the top. Well I had just got done changing him and putting clothes on him. I turned around to throw away the diaper and he took off. I ran out of the room. Jaxon loves to be chased so I didn't help by sprinting out. He thought I was chasing him at this point. He was at the stairs and knows that he is suppose to go down them backwards but he decided this time he was going to take a step down. Needless to say the little guy didn't make the step and tumbled all the way down. I was chasing him all the way down the stairs but couldn't catch up to him. I was crying, he was crying. He fell all the way down. I picked him up and freaked out. i was feeling him everywhere to see if there was anything broke or hurt. He was fine after I picked him up but I still was freaking out. geez... scary experience. He bit his lip and had a little bruise on his head but was fine everywhere else. Man was he lucky! Scared me half to death... You would think he would be scared of the stairs but no that same day he went for them again. That little stinker. We are getting a gate for the top now. I sure don't need any more scares.

New things Jaxon does

Jaxon is learning new stuff everyday. He is quite the copy cat. I guess we all need to watch what we do now so he doesn't mimic you. Some of his new things that he does is he has started to come to whoever and grab their finger. Then he gruts and pulls you. He just wants you to walk with him everywhere. He lets go of your finger but wants you by his side.

He has become quite the independent little thing. He thinks now that he has turned one that he is a big boy. He wants to eat by himself. So Chad has to grab two spoons when feeding him. One for him and one that actually makes it to his mouth. It's funny... He won't let us feed him but he will let Grandma feed him whatever she wants. Funny little thing. It's funny how others can get your kid to eat but not the parents.

Jaxon use to hate us changing his diaper. He would always twist and turn and cry when we attempt to. Now he will lay down for us and even sometimes hold up his legs. When we get done changing him he wants to grab the diaper and walk it to the trash can. He thinks it is just the funniest thing. He yells the whole time to the trash. It is so funny. He throws it in the trash. Such a big boy.

He still hasn't said any other words besides dada, mama, baba. He said nono to me oneday but hasn't said it again.

Today is Jaxon's Birthday! I can not believe that he is one already. He is just growing so fast. We are so happy to have him apart of our family. He is definitely the light of our lives. We love him very much!

Today we had a "Elmo" Birthday party for him. We had it at our house because it is just too hot outside to have the kids out there. We invited some kids from the ward and our friends. Jaxon loved having the kids over here. Me and Chad stayed up last night making his Elmo cake and cupcakes. We had fun doing it. It was very hard to find Elmo decorations. Evidently Elmo is not the "in" thing. But Jaxon just loves Elmo. He smiles everytime he hears Elmo, those big dimples! Here are some pics from the party.

On Monday Jaxon was trying to walk to me. He is still off balance. We were up in our bedroom and he thought he could reach the bed but misjudged it. He fell down and hit the bed foot board and cut his lip. It was way sad, well for me because he was bleeding and it puffed up. He cried only for a little bit and when I picked him up he stopped. Such a trooper. We got some ice and put it on his mouth. He just wanted a bottle and went right to sleep. Poor little man...

Dole Pineapple Plantation- Hawaii

We went to the pineapple plantation. The pineapple icecream was amazing. The only thing was when I pulled out my camera to take pictures, my SD camera card fell out that was full of pics from Hawaii already. We looked for it everywhere. It was no where in sight. Someone must of picked it up. It was definitely a sad day!

Jaxon loves to go on walks. He now will crawl to his stroller and climb up on it. Then he hits his stroller and yells at ya. He tries to get in but can't. He loves to talk and just be outside.

Jaxon is so funny. He was walking to the deeper end and when it got to his chest he stopped. but he kept looking down and everytime he bent over his head would go in the water.

So I haven't been too good about posting. Oops. . . I'll work on it.

Jaxon is such a busy body and keeps me going all day. Jaxon is 9 mths old. He crawls around like crazy and is getting faster at it everyday. He loves to walk though. He will grab your two fingers and take off. I'm sure it won't be long before he goes on his own. He has 8 teeth and we think he is still teething. Boy do they come in bulk. I wasn't expecting him to have so many so quick. He loves to climb on everything. Especially on the stroller. He will hit the stroller and yell, usually that means he wants to go on a walk or he can't get down. I'm glad he loves outdoors though. If he is upset we just take a walk and that always calms him down. He is a funny little guy and we just love him.

Me and Chad just celebrated our 2 year mark. Whoa. . . 2 years. Thought it was longer he he he j/k Chad took me to Vegas for the weekend without the baby. Grandma Shipp took him for the weekend for us. Thank you Grandma! Boy did we need that getaway. First thing I wanted to do was lay on the bed and not move. :) It was nice and relaxing. I did miss the boy though. I'm sure Grandma Shipp needed a vacation after watching him for 3 days. :) He definately keeps you going all day without breaks.

Our Georgia trip in March was nice. I really have missed the family and Jaxon was way excited to see his Georgia family. Jaxon is more active since the last time they saw him. He is such a busy boy now. Jaxon loved his little cousin Kaden. Kaden sure is a cute little boy. He is all momma too. :) We were able to spend a week there with the family. It was much needed too. I needed some help with Jaxon and a little time to rest. The family was such a big help. Love you guys! Anyhoo, I wish we could make more trips to Georgia.

Been a long time!! Update

So it has been a real long time since I've last published on the blog. I've posted some pictures that has happened since december. Jaxon is now 6 months old. He is growing so fast. This week he is sick. He has been sick for 2 weeks now with a cough and a runny nose. Just when we thought he was getting better, a couple of days ago he decides to stay up all night throwing up. Me and Chad would change his blanket and put him back to bed and by the time we would get back in our bed we would hear him again throwing up. Poor little guy. After about the 5th time doing this he finally is exhausted and falls asleep. But we had to put him in his carseat because it was inclined. He slept through the night with no more throw-ups. So we took him to the Dr. They think he might have an ear infection so we are to keep him on antibiotics for 10 days. Poor little guy. The mecidine gives him the runs. So it is harder now to keep him hydrated with the runs and throwing up. In spite of all this he is still smiling. Such a little trooper.

Jaxon loves his daddy. He just gets so excited to see him and loves his daddy to talk to him. His legs just a kick and he smiles real big when he sees him. He also reaches sometimes for his dad. Mom is a little jealous : ) but loves that he is learning to reach. Chad is such a good dad. He is such a big help too. We love you daddy, and thank you for everything you do for us!!!

Our little family is doing great. It's a new year and we hope for the best.

Jaxon got his first tooth the first part of December. He was a little grumpy but not bad at all.

He got his second tooth on Christmas Day. This tooth was not as easy as the first one. He was an unhappy little guy on Christmas Eve and Day. Poor little guy. So we got two teeth at 5 months old.

Jaxon went for his 4 month appointment on the 30th of November. He is growing so fast. He is now 15 lbs 10 oz and is 25 3/4 in long. We started him on rice cereal and oatmeal cereal. So far he really likes the oatmeal cereal the best. We are excited to start new foods with him. He is talking so much now and tries to sit up but still not there yet. He loves his daddy so much. Everytime his dad comes home, Jaxon just smiles real big and kicks his feet. We just love him so much.

Jaxon is now talking tons. He has started to just stick his legs in the air and hold on to his leg. Jaxon tries so hard to sit up but can only get his neck and shoulders off the ground. He grunts so much in the process. It is cute to watch him.

Today we went to Uncle Brock's soccer game at Dixie High School to cheer him on. Jaxon loves to be outside. He loves to wear his hat and sunglasses. He doesn't even try to pull them off which is nice. He loves his grandparents and was happy to be able to visit with them for a little while.

We took family pics on October 16th! I absolutely love the photos. I just wanted to really say how much I love my siblings. I have a special bond with each one of my siblings. I am really lucky to have such awesome brothers and sisters. Each one of them are very very special to me. We have been through so much and yet we are still all so close. I don't know how many families can say that they have this. I am so blessed. I wish I could express how much they mean to me. Ok story behind this costume. I had a customer of mine who got Jaxon a halloween outfit. It was just a little snug on him :) But he was so cute in it. She had got him a newborn outfit but it was about 2 sizes too small. Jaxon thought it was funny of us putting him in it.

Trunk or Treat

Jaxon was a Giraffe for Halloween. He was so cute in his little outfit. On friday we went to the wards trunk or treat/Chili cookoff. It was fun to see all the kids in their costumes. The fog machine in one of the rooms set off the fire alarm so we had a loud siren noise for about 25 minutes until the fire department got there to turn it off. Jaxon didn't like the noise too well. We had a good time.

Jaxon loves his tummy time. He doesn't last long on his tummy though because he flips to his back. We have been practicing to roll from back to tummy but haven't quite got there yet. He gets to his side and then stops but we are making progress. He is getting so strong with his neck and shoulders. Jaxon loves it when you stick your tongue in and out really fast. (if you listen you can hear Chad doing it and then Jaxon smiled) He just gets a kick out of it.

Well I just figured out how to work the blog. I hope to get a little better at piecing it together and to make it all cute but until then I'm going to try to do what I can to just get it all updated.

Our little family is doing great and we are so blessed to have our little man. He is the best thing Chad and I could ever ask for. He is a mini me of his daddy. Everyone always comments on how he looks like a little man and then when they see daddy they are amazed on how he is all daddy. Well except his ears that is all me (sorry Jaxon) and he crinkles his forehead like mom otherwise he is all daddy.

Jaxon is 14 weeks today. He is 14 + pounds. Man time is flying but I'm enjoying it. We are starting to see more and more of his personality. Lately he is trying to sit up. Of course he can't yet but when you put him down he tries to sit up. He can lift his head and shoulders up but thats it for now. He loves to be sitting up. He smiles a lot now and is very ticklish. Jaxon was born with really long feet and they are now finally fitting his body :) Jaxon sleeps very well which we are very grateful for. We try to put him to bed at 8ish and he wakes up around 5 0r 6. He is such a good boy!

Chad is doing great too. He is a wonderful husband and even better daddy. Jaxon just loves his daddy. Chad is a natural at being a father. Me and Jaxon just love him bunches!!

So we decided to try out the bumbo on Jaxon this past week. His Aunt Heidi got this for him which we are excited about and really want to thank her. He wasn't quite sure what to think of it yet. Jaxon is still a little wiggly with his head but is getting stronger every day.

I just love my little sunbeams. In class this last Sunday we were teaching the sunbeams about honesty. We made these warriors headbands and discussed the Anti-Nephi-Lehies who were honest and and true to their faith. The little sunbeams wanted baby Jaxon to be apart of the activity of being little warriors. So we made him a little headband and the kids loved it. It was just so cute!

Jaxon on his first scale. He weighed 7lbs 11oz and was 20 inches long. Jaxon was born at 6:11pm on tuesday July 28th, 2009. Once beth started pushing Jaxon was out within 35 minutes. There was another woman in a room next door that started pushing about the same time as beth and so they raced and obviously beth won. It was funny because the shift change was at 6:00pm right in the middle of the delivery so we had a room packed with people cheering on Beth. It was quite the crowd.

Jaxon is so strong. He could hold up his head from the moment he was born.
